Popis: | Previous strategies developed for averaging photoacoustic FT-IR interferograms have been extended to include the elimination of incoherent co-adding and the symmetrization of the interferograms. Incoherence of the interferograms can be reduced through the alignment of their centrebursts; when this is not adequate, interferogram symmetrization and alignment remove any detectable effect of incoherence. Systematic variation of the symmetrization parameters has permitted conclusions regarding the averaging of symmetrized interferograms and their corresponding spectra. |
