Popis: | Low and ultra-low carbon steels are produced either by an argon-oxygen mixed injection technique at the converter or by the use of a vacuum degasser (RH). These two techniques are perfectly suitable for producing steels with maximum carbon contents of respectively 90 and 40 ppm. The kinetics of the decarburization in the vacuum degasser can be enhanced by a development of the extraction capacity and/or by an increase of the specific stirring flow rates. |
