| Popis: | We have read the correspondence by De Giorgi et al on the possible influence of sex hormones on melanoma with interest. We agree that there are correlative but inconsistent data indicating that the pathophysiology of melanoma may be associated with sex hormones. However, our article dealt solely with the subject of the role of sex hormones in progression of disease, and as Di Giorgi et al indicate, there are few data to suggest a role in that context. |
