Popis: The suppression of the polarographic oxygen maximum was found to be a sensitive and simple method for the determination of poly(acrylic acid), poly(acrylamide) and the corresponding copolymers if the solution contains Ca2+ ions. In mixtures of these polymers with molecular weights of the same range the total polymer content can be determined at concentrations between 10 and 80 mg l−1 Interferences of the method, the relative standard deviation of which was found to be 4.2%, are shown.
