Popis: 1. The kinetics of the transformation of austenite in the upper region of subcritical temperatures can be changed by applying high hydrostatic pressures. The latter factor shifts the equilibrium temperature of the coexistence of phases and affects the kinetics of the process mainly by that means. 2. The calculations show that pressure decelerates (γ→α) or accelerates (α→γ) the transformations in pure iron. 3. From the effect of pressure on the equilibrium conditions of the austenite-ferrite and austenitecementite phases one can calculate the kinetics of the transformation of austenite in noneutectoid compositions. One constructs the corresponding sections of the S curves. By extrapolation of the equilibrium ratios obtained for eutectoid steel one determines the magnitude of hysteresis for the temperature at different pressures.
