Popis:	The short tandem repeat loci D6S2792, D6S273 and D6S2972 situated in the HLA class I region were investigated in a sample of 290 healthy, unrelated Austrian Caucasoid individuals. Population data and statistic parameters of forensic interest are presented. Due to their high degree of polymorphism these dinucleotide markers are suitable as additional loci for human identity applications, if a possible linkage disequilibrium is taken into account.
