Popis: | The four-meter isochronous cyclotron at JINR is being constructed for accelerating intense beams of heavy ions with A/Z ratio of 3.5 to 25 proton units and a smoothly variable energy within the range of 400-625 Z2/A MeV. Basic physical parameters and ideas of this accelerator are presented. |
