Popis: | Positron emission tomography requires high-brightness fast-decay scintillators for coincidence counting of positron annihilation events. We demonstrate that LaF3:Ce nanocrystals show promising characteristics for that application. Scintillation response and photoluminescence lifetime below 27 ns are measured. |
