Popis: | A control strategy for the conservation of forest biomass is proposed using the system of ordinary differential equation. For system dynamics, we have chosen four state variables in which first three stages are linked up to forest biomass via immature, semi-mature and mature trees and forth industrialization. It is assumed that industries harvest semi and mature phases of the forestry (trees) biomass. Analytically studied the local and global stability of steady state as well as the harvesting policy around the interior steady state. For conservation purpose, we have obtained optimal path considering tax as a control strategy to limit the harvest of trees. In particular, optimal control path is obtained using Pontryagin’s maximum principle. To corroborate the results, we have done numerical simulations for a different set of parameters and shown the various behavior of the system. Further, we have likewise noticed that there are certain parameters which are extremely sensitive to the coexistence state. Sensitivity analysis is done using normalized forward sensitivity index. |
