Popis:	The authors study the bactericidal action of long-wave x-rays and gamma rays on the strains of microorganisms isolated from drugs. The investigation were carried out on strains of Staphylococcus and a spore-forming gram-positive bacillus isolated from drugs. In addition to the dosimetric measurements for each of the experiments performed, the authors also calculated the mean values of the linear energy transmission in the biological specimens to be irradiated. The comparative effectiveness of the bactericidal action of long-wave x-rays and gamma radiation on the cultures of Staphylococcus aureus and spores of a gram-positive bacillus is presented.
