Popis: | This paper proposes an offering/bidding strategy for a hybrid power station producer who is in charge of operating wind and pumped-hydro storage units in a coordinated manner. To this purpose, a risk-constrained, two-stage stochastic, bi-level optimization formulation is used to model the hybrid producer's problem. The proposed method is in line with the provisions of the Greek network code for non-interconnected islands, where an energy-only quantity for the total projected energy injection/absorption to/from the grid must be submitted to the System Operator during the day-ahead scheduling procedure. The bi-level model is finally converted to a mixed-integer linear programming model in order to be tractable. Simulation results from a real-world insular system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling approach. |
