Popis: | Rapid prototyping (RP) is a modern technology which can produce components with very complicated shapes using different materials. This method also allows the production of components with shapes and geometry that would be very difficult to produce using conventional methods such as milling, welding and so on. A 3D printer builds an object from bottom to top, layer by layer. The purpose of this article is to introduce rapid prototyping technology for printing metal products. It focuses on various areas of application, advantages and disadvantages of this manufacturing technology as well as introduction of two methods DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) and LENS (Laser Engineered Net Shaping). |
