An efficient new approach is proposed for simultaneously estimating thermal conductivity and specific heat in the form of an inverse problem using the network method as the numerical tool and three points of measurement in the solid. The approach provides estimations of the functions k(T) and c c (T), regardless of the waveform of those functions even without a priori information on the kind of dependence concerned. The solutions are reached by a piece-wise functions, whose number of stretches may be specified. The input data (temperature measurements) are obtained by numerically solving the direct problem and also by the network method, using a normal random error to simulate real measurements. Estimations of different kinds of real dependencies are obtained both for conductivity and specific heat |
