Popis:	Four patients with typical manifestations of herpes simplex encephalitis were treated with Aciclovir. Infection with herpes simplex virus was confirmed in three of the four cases. Complete cure was achieved in each of the patients despite severe initial disease patterns. In view of these results in the treatment of a disease that had so far been partly lethal or produced severely defective states, the specific use of Aciclovir is emphasised.
