| Popis: | Hypericum subsessile N. Robson (Clusiaceae/Guttiferae) belongs to section Ascyreia, the basic Asian section of Hypericum. Although first collected (from Yunnan and Sichuan respectively) in 1928 and 1929, it was not described until 1985, after its rediscovery in 1981. It has a relatively primitive position among the Chinese members of section Ascyreia, as is shown by, for example, its subsessile leaves and disjunct distribution. Hypericum subsessile has already proved to be a hardy garden plant with noteworthy fruits. |
