Popis: | Blend and polymerization-filled polyethylene-based composites containing different dispersed wood fillers have been prepared and studied for replacement of thermosetting resins based on dispersed wood by more environmentally safe polyolefins and for improvement of water resistance of the materials. Owing to formation of agglomerates of wood particles coated with polyethylene, water resistance of the polymerization-filled composites is increased by a factor of 2–5 relative to the blend composites of the same formulation. |
