Polarization Transfer in the ReactionT(d,n)He4at 0° from 3.9 TO 15 MeV

Popis: Measurements of neutron polarization are reported for the reaction $\mathrm{T}(d,n)^{4}\mathrm{He}$ at 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} in which the incident beam is polarized with quantization axis perpendicular to the direction of motion. The beam polarization was described by ${p}_{3}={p}_{33}\ensuremath{\approx}0.76$, while beam intensities varied from 10 to 40 nA. At ${E}_{d}=15$ MeV the neutron polarization was measured to be +0.56\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.036 with respect to the quantization axis. At 3.9 MeV the polarization was zero, showing the influence of spin-flip interactions from the low-energy $^{4}S_{\frac{3}{2}}$ resonance. The measurements are related to polarization transfer and efficiency tensor functions for the reaction.
