Popis:	The information presented on a geological map may be represented by a logical model in the form of an entity-relationship diagram. This must show the links between the three-dimensional geology and the two-dimensional expression of that geology which is the map. The principles behind the model created for the British Geological Survey's Digital Map Production System are outlined, and the model's main features explained.
