Optical Properties of MEH-PPV Thin Films Containing ZnO Nanoparticles

Popis: More recently, polymer/nanoparticles composite has been increasingly studied to enhance the performance of PPV-based devices. For examples, incorporation of CdSe [1], TiO 2 [2], SiO 2 [3] nanoparticles into conjugated polymer such as poly [2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4 phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV). The composite have a good effect on the optical, electronic properties and improve the stability which is important in organic devices [4]. The effects on the nanoparticles on the structure of the polymer are still a subject of research. From previous report, MEH-PPV blended with SiO 2 shown the conjugation length of polymer not affected by presence of the particles [3].
