Popis: | The teacher-pupil relationship is associated with educational and psychosocial outcomes for children and young people. One component which shapes the relationship is the way a teacher manages pupil behaviour in the classroom. Negative or harsh approaches can involve public criticism, undermining pupil efforts or responding disproportionately. Positive approaches to pupil behaviour management can include focusing on positive aspects of pupil behaviour or outcomes, proportionate and private disciplining and a belief that the pupil can make a positive contribution to school life. Teachers can be supported to utilise more positive approaches to pupil behaviour management. This systematic review will examine the effectiveness of existing interventions or training programs to secure long-term changes to teachers' practices. |
