Popis: | C3 complement is produced in response to macrophage activation and is a reliable marker of the risk of myocardial infarction in men. This study was designed to ascertain whether the treatment with atorvastatin, a powerful cholesterol lowering drug, and/or vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, may induce a short term decrease in serum C3 in subjects with persistently elevated levels.
