Popis: This chapter presents and discusses an action research project drawing on the use of roleplaying within a team of seven managers at a vocational school. In this specific case, the managers decided to work with roleplaying within the frame of action research in order to enhance their communicative and relational resources. The chapter introduces to the theoretical framework behind this approach and presents a concrete example of how the managers worked with roleplaying with the use of a reflecting team. The action research project has shown that this approach can serve as a significant inquiry in the development of dialogical, relational and reflexive capabilities among managers. The inquiry provided embodied learning through playful experimentation, improvisation and risk-taking. In this way it helped the managers to increase their relational awareness, develop their discursive resources and develop alternative possibilities for action in their daily practice. In overall terms, the work with roleplaying helped the managers to explore more viable ways of relating and it also seemed to contribute significantly to the level of trust and collaboration in the management team as such.
