Popis: | A battery test that predicts the electrical performance with high accuracy is vital for circuit design. The purpose is to control its runtime and insure safety in battery-based electrical system such as Electric Vehicles (EVs). The nonlinear behavior of batteries depends on many internal and external factors such as temperature, chemistry, load current profile, age, etc. Modeling the behaviors of the battery can be achieved using various approaches. The more accurate battery model is the more predictable results. In this paper, we proposed current profile to extract and characterize the battery's parameters, the methodology used to develop the current pulse profile is simple, clearly explained and can be adapted or implemented to various types of battery's cells. Results show that this current pulse characterization can be employed to foresee the battery's resistance and open-circuit voltage by considering the environmental temperatures effect. In total, this intelligible current pulse profile can be used for predicting the battery's parameters with high accuracy, especially for variable current load profile which is the most reliable case for vehicular applications. |
