Popis: | It is shown that the two-step (p, d) (d, t) mechanism can provide a satisfactory description of some “forbidden” (p, t) reactions leading to unnatural parity final states. The effect of this mechanism on allowed ground-state to ground-state transitions is investigated, and it is found that the relative sign of the one-step and two-step amplitudes must be reversed in order to obtain agreement with experiment. |
