Popis: Solid waste management is one of the major environmental concern in the world. The promotion of the Automobile Industry has accompanied with an increase in prevalent waste material such as a waste tyre. The un-degradable nature of the rubber and consequent disposal problem has led to a serious environmental issue in the recent decades. To overcome this problem, many innovative solutions have been proposed. The using this waste material in concrete can solve these problems. It is estimated that 60% of waste tyres are disposed of via — unknown routes in the urban as well rural area. This leads to various environmental problems. The concrete is a standout amongst the most generally utilized development material on the planet. Cement and aggregate which is the most important ingredient in concrete production are then vital material needed for the construction industry. This inevitably led to a continuous and increasing demand for natural material used for their production. Parallel to the requirement for use of characteristic assets develops a developing worry for securing the earth and a need to safeguard regular assets, (for example, total) by utilizing elective material which is reused waste material. In this research, a study was carried out for partial replacement using a recycled rubber tyre for the coarse aggregate in concrete construction employing locally available waste tyre. This results in various environmental problems which include air pollution, open burning of the tyre. The concrete mix design is prepared employing IS method for M-20 grade concrete. The specimens were cast percentage replacement of the coarse aggregate 1%, 2% and 5% by a shredded rubber aggregate. The prepared samples include concrete cubes, cylinder, and beams. The list of tests conducted is a slump, workability, compressive strength, Tensile strength, Flexural strength. The data collection was primarily based on the tests conducted on the prepared specimens in the laboratory.
