Popis: | A novel design method of the wavelength (de)multiplexer is presented. The output spectral response of a (de)multiplexer is designed from the view of FIR filters. Avoiding laborious mathematic analysis, the (de)multiplexer is analyzed and designed in this explicit and simple method. A four channel (de)multiplexer based on multimode interference (MMI) is designed as an example. The result obtained agrees with that of the commonly used method, and is verified by a finite difference beam propagation method (FDBPM) simulation. |
