System for checking of electrical parameters of superconducting magnets for the NICA and FAIR projects

Popis: Serial production of superconducting (SC) magnets for the Nuclotron Ion-based fAcility (NICA) and Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) projects is currently underway at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia [1]. SC-coil electrical parameters should be checked before each stage of assembling and cryogenic testing to avoid faults, such as inter-turn short circuit and insulation failure. A system for checking of SC-magnets electrical parameters is described in this paper. The results obtained by this system are presented and outlined.
