This work presents the design and development of activities for the outreach and promotion of STEM based on Calliope mini (CM). The main objective is to promote the engineering careers at the Universidad Nacional de Rio Cuarto. A platform is developed consisting of a small vehicle driven by two servomotors controlled by a CM, which is remotely controlled by another CM. Two activities are proposed, one to outreach and the other to promote STEM at the initial and middle educational levels. The potential of the CM board to perform these activities is shown, concluding that it is a very powerful and low-cost tool compared to other alternatives, such as Arduino. |
