This study was conducted to measure the effect of the change to nipple drinkers on the efficiency of poultry production. Data from contract growers in the Delmarva region were collected and analyzed to determine the impact of the implementation of this new technology. The increased efficiency of the new technology indicates the advantages the industry can achieve if it constantly seeks out the greatest efficiencies in technology and other areas of production. The increase of global competition in poultry production makes this type of advance important for the U.S. poultry industry. |
