Popis: Reduction of 5-alkoxycarbonyl-3-oxopentanoates (la-lj) with baker's yeast turned to be enantioselective, and the e.es of the products (2a-2j) were determined by the NMR measurement of the corresponding Alexakis' alkoxydiazaphosphoridines. Stereochemistry was established with X-Ray crystallography.
