Popis: | Most faults in distribution networks are single phase-to-ground faults. The paper presents the analysis procedure of single phase-to-ground fault in mixed neutral ground systems. The procedure is based on a wavelet transform applied to the signal of zero sequence current. The wavelet transform is specific in application compared to a widely used short-time Fourier transform in terms of no need for bandwidth selection. The application of wavelet transform in the method proposed in the paper for defining signal energy allows one to avoid drawbacks of the Fourier transform and give more accurate data on signal energy for different ranges. This in its turn allows the charge and discharge frequencies to be extracted more precisely. In addition, this method allows identifying the line of a single phase-to-ground fault. |
