Popis:	A case of gangrene of the right foot and leg, apparently due to rheumatic arteritis with thrombosis, is herein reported. No reference can be found in the medical literature as to the occurrence of gangrene as a complication of rheumatic fever. The histopathology of rheumatic aortitis and arteritis is reviewed.
