In the period 8 – 10 May 2008 there took place in Durres, Albania (Institute of Linguistics and Literature, Academy of Science of Albania) the work reunion of the Editorial Board from Atlas Linguarum Europae (ALE). At the organised reunion in Durres the following attended: Nicolae Saramandu, ALE president, the members of the General Secretariate formed by Manuela Nevaci and Carmen Radu and the ALE members: Mrs. Gunhild Aamodt, Mrs. Rita Caprini, David Clement, Michel Contini, Arnold Dalen, Enver Hysa, Jean LeDu, Seit Mansaku, Ardian Marashi (from the Centre of Albanological Studies), Mrs. Helmi Neetar, Mrs. Vilja Oja, Mrs. Leena Sarvas, Mrs. Marie-Rose SimoniAurembou, Mrs. Milena Sipkova, Mrs. Jožica Skofic, Gjovalin Shkurtaj, Terje Svardal, Mrs. Benedikte T. Tobbiassen, Kolec Topalli, Agris Timuska, Mrs. Jadwiga Waniakova, Joseph Watson. The opening speech was held by Nicolae Saramandu, the president of ALE and a short moment of silence was kept in the memory of A. Weijnen, ALE former president. |
