Popis: Introduction. In the context of social instability, the training of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the specific conditions of modern reality, ready to perform effective professional activities, is of particular significance. There is a growing need for high-quality training of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on the basis of an integrated approach in the process of studying psychological disciplines, developing their professional competence. It may be achieved under the following conditions: future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are supposed to have deep knowledge, professional skills, self-study skills and psychological consciousness. Consequently, the development of the psychological readiness of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for the specific professional activities becomes particularly relevant. The purpose consists in the investigating the essence of the psychological readiness for specific professional activities of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and clarifying their subjective expectations in the process of studying «General Psychology» in a higher education institution. This topic is particularly relevant due to the fact that the system of higher education nowadays is facing the task of revealing the abilities of each person, ensuring their maximum development and readiness to work in extreme and crisis situations. Methodology. General scientific methods of system-structural analysis were used to solve the research problems, aimed at exploring and summarizing the work of the authors of the article on the development of psychological readiness of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to work in the specific conditions. Originality. Nowadays higher education is designed to create appropriate conditions for the psychological training of a competent specialist focused on professional development, self-improvement and a high level of productivity in specific professional activities. Therefore, one of the most urgent problems of higher education is the psychological training of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, whose professional knowledge and skills would meet the current needs of society. In the process of professional development in a higher educational institution, the future specialist has to master the system of knowledge and skills that are acquired in the process of studying the discipline «General Psychology». Conclusion. The conducted research revealed the productivity of developing problems in the methodology of teaching general psychology through psychological justification, in particular, taking into account the psychological characteristics of the subject of educational activity. The expectations of the students studying the discipline «General Psychology» disclosed both the concrete and realistic expectations on the one hand, and vague, diffuse, unrealistic ones on the other. While determining the content and target characteristics of the discipline, the teacher should correlate them with the expectations of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, taking into account the peculiarities of these expectations. The teacher has to consider the student’s life experience and his/her expectations to enrich the knowledge in the course of the study. The complicated scientific psychological terminology can lower student’s sense of awareness, thereby reducing their interest in the discipline. At the end of the lesson, it is advisable to set a task of writing a short summary «What new Have I learned during the lesson». The possibility of applying the acquired knowledge in practice motivates those students who expect that the discipline will be extremely important in their future professional activities. It can be concluded that the psychological readiness for specific professional activities of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine contributes to the successful implementation of professional orientation and the implementation of integrated study of psychological disciplines. We believe that the psychological readiness for specific professional activities among future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has practical educational implications to provide future psychologists the opportunities to practice it in other training programmes, because it contributes to the consolidation of a positive attitude and interest in the future profession, improving the knowledge, skills and abilities of students, expanding their worldview and harmonious development. The prospect of further research is to substantiate other psychological conditions for the development of readiness for specific professional activities of future psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on the basis of an integrated approach, as well as to search the most effective teaching methods and, in particular, analyze the possibilities of using active teaching methods in the psychological subjects.
