Possible detection of the Geminga pulsar in the energy range 0.15–0.48) MeV with the FIGARO II experiment

Popis: The gamma‐ray source Geminga (2CG195+04) has been observed in the energy range (0.15–4) MeV with the FIGARO II experiment on July 9th, 1990, during a transmediterranean balloon flight. The data were folded at the period value derived from the recent EGRET ephemeris. The resulting light curve shows a broad peak (phase width ∼0.3) in the energy range (0.15–0.48) MeV. The change occurrence probability turns out to be about 2.8 gaussian standard deviations.
