The requirements of a major industry whose products are rail-beams to level the both sides of rail-beams were analyzed. Some of basic parameters have been computed by the analytical method. The process of roller’s leveling was simulated with explicit nonlinear finite element method, and the results were proved close to those from analytical method. The simulation was applied to an approach to the most suitable rolling reduction. The final conclusion shows that simulation is a powerful way to improve design’s qualities. |
