Popis: | This 3-month quality improvement project, conducted in a Genesee County, Michigan, family medicine clinic using a pre-post design, was designed to increase provider compliance with the 2013 United States Preventive Services Task Force lung cancer screening guidelines for using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT). Clinic staff received education on these guidelines and on a new phone script for identifying at-risk patients. The number of LDCT scans ordered during the 3-month postintervention period was compared with the number ordered during the same period 2 years prior. Results showed a statistically significant increase in postimplementation LDCT scan orders. |
