Popis: There are two commonly used methods, which are used in interpretation of ground penetrating radar (GPR) data: template matching and feature extraction. Both methods require access to database, containing reference target signatures (usually as A-scans) or characteristic features of objects - parameters connected with physical dimensions or shape, In the paper one of such methods was described. Based on a single A-scan and pre-recorded GPR images of objects of interest, authors discussed possibilities and difficulties, which may occur while evaluating received traces as potentially dangerous (in this case containing AP mines signatures) or harmless. Evaluating factors were created using Principal Components Analysis.
