Popis: Optimum conditions have been found for providing a linear sine-tangent mechanism. Deviations of the conversion function from linearity for sufficiently small deviations of the system can be made extremely small, so that the error becomes due only to inaccuracies in the manufacture of components. The best results are obtained if the swinging of each link in the mechanism is uniformly distributed about its central position for an optimum relationship of the arms, which is obtained from the data of the table.
