Popis:	1. The corrosivity of motor oils intended for use in high-performance diesel engines has been investigated in the DK-NAMI instrument over a wide range of temperatures and test times. 2. New criteria have been proposed for rating the corrosivity of oils on the basis of the induction period and the stabilized corrosion rate. 3. Ratings of oil corrosivity toward lead in the DK-NAMI instrument on the basis of these new criteria have been compared with the results of leaded-bronze corrosivity ratings in a Petter W-1 unit (IP 176/74 procedure). 4. A comparison of the results obtained by the two methods provides a basis for the widespread introduction of these criteria for rating oil corrosivity in the DK-NAMI instrument.
