Popis: | A two-year study of recovery among 177 people with serious mental illnesses revealed four distinct patterns, none of which resembled the grim deterioration once thought to characterize serious mental illness. In fact, half the patients had a rather stable course, maintaining either relatively high or relatively low levels of recovery, and half experienced a pattern of fluctuating symptoms. The authors concluded that having access to good-quality mental health care, which entails an array of services and supports, appears to improve recovery trajectories. |
