As per the recent advancements in automotive sectors and use of intelligent systems with high speed communication, the sector is moving towards the standardizations in not only components used in automotives but also the sector is rapidly moving towards the standardizations in the protocols. Industry demands rapid application prototyping and simulations of the protocols to save time, money and energy. This paper focuses the light scattering study of popular protocols and simulators used in automotive sector. Paper also summarizes the problems reported due to wiring harness in automotives. The examples based on CAN data transfer and reception periodically observed through VNT from Math-Works. Protocols like Controller Area Network, Local Area Network, Flex Ray and high speed standards like M.O.S.T. are being used in distributed architecture. Also instead of implementing the protocols directly on hardware because it takes time for design, development and testing of same with increase in development cost. Also to resolve this issue and due to demand in industries, various simulators came into existence for rapid design, development and testing of the in vehicle networks. The simulators like BUSMASTER, CANoe, RTaW, VNT in Mat-lab is playing a vital role. |
