Popis: Group work methodology recognizes that single sessions have beginning, middle and ending phases. The ending phase is most neglected. Practitioners are often unaware of its importance and unprepared to facilitate purposeful sessional endings. The article aims to conceptualize the ending phase looking at its generic and specialized application to different group types and populations. It explores common ways practitioners end sessions, obstacles to implementing sessional endings, benefits purposeful sessional endings have for the individual and group and practice skills needed to conduct these endings.
