Popis: | The effect of network density and the concentration of the crosslinking agent (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) on the elastic and photoelastic properties of crosslinked styrene, chlorostyrene, and vinyltoluene polymers is investigated. It is shown that the networks of these polymers are not ideal. Gaussian and non-Gaussian network theories do not give a quantitative description of the piezo-optic properties of the actual copolymers synthesized. |
