Popis: Evidence for hexa-methyl-tetra-aluminoxane as a main product of MAO is demonstrated. Stability and measured molecular weights in benzene, trimethylaluminum, dioxane and tetrahydrofurane are explained by self-association. A new band reactor is described to produce MAO in a small temperature range. NMR-spectra during preparation and after the completion of the reaction allow to understand the mechanism of formation. A compound [Al,(CH2)3]n insoluble in hydrocarbons is prepared.
