An ultrasound wideband converter with the phased excitation of its two forming piezoplates

Popis: | Calculation results of frequency characteristics, which were obtained by solving the synthesis problem for ultrasound converters that contain two piezoplates separated by a passive layer that are excited by electric voltages that are different in amplitude and phase, are considered. By selecting the latter, the possibility of expanding the bandwidth up to 2–4 octaves on the condition of ensuring uniform amplitude-frequency and linear phase-response radiation characteristics is shown. The influence of the design values of the converters on these characteristics is analyzed. It is shown that it is possible to form short frequency-tunable acoustic pulses using the considered converters. |
