Popis: Ascaris suum and Ascaris hominis are intestinal endoparasitic nematodes. They live in hostile proteolytic environments and infect pigs and humans, respectively. Over one-quarter of the world’s human population (Muller, 1979) and masses of pigs are infected by these parasites. The resulting medical, agricultural and economic effects are significant (Levine, 1980; Mahmoud, 1989).
