Popis: Adolescents in need of mental health care face many barriers to receiving appropriate treatment. Mental health services delivered or enhanced through the Internet or other technologies, also known as e-mental health care, offer accessible interventions to those in need of therapy. Computerized and Internet-based cognitive behavioral therapies (cCBTs and iCBTs) have been widely studied in adults and have been found to be as effective as face-to-face therapy. There is a growing body of evidence showing the potential benefits of cCBT, iCBT, and other online therapies for adolescents with depression, anxiety, and other behavioral problems. Successful implementation of online therapy for adolescents in schools, clinics, and at home may help close the gap between the high demand for mental health care and the low availability of services.
