Popis:	Materials related to monitoring of acute surgical pathology of abdominal organs in St. Petersburg are presented in article. I.I. Dzhanelidze stood at the origins of this work. He began his work in 1932 and it continues up to now. It shows achievements of health care in the field of urgent surgery, which is confirmed by reduction in mortality in acute surgical pathology of the abdominal organs. Today we have an opportunity to track the 100-year period of development of this surgical field in St. Petersburg.
