SUMMARY A number of advances that have appeared with regard to acute and chronic leukemias in the hematologic literature of the last several years have been reviewed. This field is rapidly expanding, and major advances are being made on a regular basis. Hopefully, in the future the use of the word “cure” can be used without apprehension in larger numbers of patients with these disease processes. |
